Why
Hall of Champions?
Why not Hall of Fame?
In today’s society, fame is often quickly gained and quickly lost and
for various unworthy reasons.
A champion, as defined by Webster, is an advocate or defender of.
This is exactly what the many people listed in the Hall of Champions have
displayed: determination, persistence and perseverance.
Their dream of an organized sporting opportunity for their children to
experience fun, learning, sportsmanship and competitiveness was a driving force
to advocate and defend the creation and future of Elizabethtown Youth Soccer
Association.
Many of the people listed may or may not be familiar to you but all have
made sacrifices and contributions without much notoriety for the betterment of
this fine organization.
This may not be the ultimate expression of appreciation but it is meant
to share the dream and the desire to advocate and defend this particular
opportunity for our children and for those children to come. Click on the
name and read about their history with EYSA.
