WHAT’S COMING UP FOR SPRING 2010 AT EYSA

Due to a few glitches in the set up process registration will not open until January 1, 2010.

The EYSA Board is working hard to make operations of the soccer season run smoother and increase volunteerism through out our organization.  We have been diligently working to create a plan that will ensure that we have the volunteers needed during the season for various projects and yet keep expenses down so we do not have to hire people to make up the difference when we are lacking in volunteers.

The  volunteer deposit has been reduced to $20 per family.  This deposit WILL be reimbursed to you once you have worked up to 2 hours of volunteer service to the organization.   We have 2 Director of Volunteers who will oversee the schedules to make sure those obligations have been met and refunds have been given.  EVERYONE, including board members will be required to pay the $20 deposit.  A projected schedule below will show when you can expect your refund.

Coaches and Asst. Coaches: refunds given the first week of practice

Team mom: refund given at the end of the season

Board Members: April 2010

Concession, fields and other volunteers: with in a week after your service

We will also be hosting at the beginning of the season EYSA’s first ever “MEET-n-GREET”

The “Meet-n-Greet” is designed as a one stop process for the beginning of the season administration paperwork for coaches and parents.   Coaches will need to be at the Complex during their age groups scheduled time.  Coaches will receive a packet that will contain: rosters, games schedule, practice schedule, volunteer schedules (consisting of concessions and field striping), and their mandatory coaches meeting will be held directly after the “Meet-n-Greet”.  Upon completing this “Meet-n-Greet” coaches can begin their practices.   Parents  bring your child to the “Meet-n-Greet” and meet the board members, meet your coach if you haven’t done so prior to this season, pick up your schedules, turn in your medical release form, pick up your uniform if you ordered one.  Once you have done all of this you are free to leave or if you want to hang around and help with field prep this could be your opportunity to give your volunteer service before the season even begins.
